                                    “DRUNKARDS’ VOICE, A SECRET”
By Maxwel Ayera
First of all let me categorically state that I’m not a drunkard just for personal security reasons to avoid people fighting me politically, suspecting me socially, questioning me intellectually and sabotaging me economically but I’m a drunkard by association and affiliation. That’s easy right? I’ve been a keen associate with drunkards in their drunken state since I was a very young boy and their company never disappoints, thank God I never found curiosity to taste the substance, and some things have always come to thrill me about them and I learnt this: DRUNKARDNESS IS OPENNESS!
Drunkards are the epitome of “Say All” attitude even though some people have found them to be enigmatic and as such find a justification to ignore their diarrhea of words; you are wrong and let me put it clear ‘Ignorance of a drunkard is ignorance of information’. We would ignore and just say it’s drunkenness yet they meant to put across a point if not involuntarily reveal the unspoken. That drunkard could save you from a big time tragedy through revelation, could inform you about your enemies’ plans, could expose a business opportunity or plan, or will announce himself to you- I bet in that you stand to gain and evaluate on your moves. In other aspect there are some people in life who can never face plain truth about their frustrations, feelings and pains when they are sober and as such would hide their real picture behind drinking just so that they can speak their mind-I met some friend while on attachment at Mumias Sugar sometime back who would actually vibe a lady the best way when he’s drunk; well that’s communication already made even though some you’d ask them the next day and would pretend they know nothing, pure Lie! Be a listener
All you got to do to a drunkard is pay an ear to them and listen, make them be comfortable with you by try to stimulate their thinking and let them be in charge of the talk as you only direct; some will come up irrationally and therefore your approach shouldn’t be aggressive to them but clearly rational critic to get what their point really is. Respect drunkards and fight meaning in their speaking. “All in the name of Understanding Drunkards” hehe..
